Position Overview:
Software Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions, contributing to both coding and debugging while improving system performance. The role involves collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver high-quality software, assisting in code reviews, and applying industry-standard development practices. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer with a foundational skill set who is looking to further build their expertise in software engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Development and Coding:
- Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and high-quality code for assigned projects.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct unit tests, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs to maintain software quality and performance.
- Code Review Participation:
- Actively participate in code reviews, following best practices and learning from peer feedback.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document code, processes, and configurations accurately for project continuity and knowledge sharing.
Skills Required:
Programming Proficiency:
- Intermediate proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Knowledge of PERN: PGSQL, Express, REACT, Node.js
Software Testing:
- Understanding of testing methods, including unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
- Version Control Experience:
- Proficient in using version control systems like Git for collaboration.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong logical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
